David Marshall

David was born in the south side of Glasgow and has lived there all his life. Educated at Williamwood and Eastwood High Schools in Glasgow, he studied Fine Art Drawing and Painting graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1979 before gaining a teaching diploma in 1980.

For more than 30 years, David taught Art at Mearns Castle High School as well as teaching drawing and painting at Ardentinny Summer Art School.
Working mostly in acrylics, water colours and mixed media, David’s paintings are mostly townscapes and landscapes of the Lucca region in Tuscany where he regularly goes to sketch and paint. He also paints scenes from all over Italy and French and Scottish scenes.
He has exhibited in the SSA, RSA and RSW exhibitions in Edinburgh as well as various locations in the UK.
